Libby Savitt Pearl, 90, of West Hartford and Bloomfield, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, after a 19-month battle with lung cancer.

She and her late husband, Bennett Pearl, were married for 61 years. Born in Hartford to Morris and Celia Savitt, Libby graduated from Weaver High School in 1950, and UConn in 1954. She instilled in them a unique set of values and encouraged them to think for themselves and to treat everyone with respect and kindness. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Libby was kind to everyone she met and left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to have known her. The world was a much better place with her presence.
