Linda (Greenberg Hoberman) Germain passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 30, 2021 age 77 years old after being diagnosed with cancer the previous month. She was born March 22, 1944, the daughter of the late Robert & Charlotte Greenberg of West Hartford, CT. She is survived by her husband Michael Germain, daughter Jennifer (Hoberman) & Joel Rosenfeld of Atlanta, GA, son Matthew & Dena Hoberman of West Hartford, CT and her brother Peter & Janice Greenberg of Winchedon, MA. Linda was a lifelong resident of West Hartford, CT with numerous summers spent at the beach home in New London, CT. Time spent at the family “compound” with her parents, aunts, uncles, her children, numerous cousins created a love for spending time near the beach and made for fond memories that lasted for her lifetime. Graveside funeral services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, CT on Wednesday, June 2nd at 2pm, arrangements made by Weinstein Mortuary. All are invited for a celebration of her life following the service at The Grille at Rockledge Golf Course in West Hartford, CT. Live-streaming of the service will be provided for those that request access. Linda was one of the first women to become a Bat Mitzvah from Beth El Temple of West Hartford at age 13, where she was later married to her first husband Ed Hoberman. She graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, CT and received her BS from University of Connecticut. She became an elementary school teacher in Hartford, CT and later was a paraprofessional in West Hartford for students with special needs. Linda also had a career in retail sales in the 1980s when denim jeans such as Calvin Klein and Sasson were the rage and she loved fashion and looked fabulous in them! Linda married her high school sweetheart Michael Germain and enjoyed her retirement with him for over 30 years. Together they enjoyed gardening, walking, going to beaches in CT, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard as well as eating many delicious meals together cooked by Michael.
