Liza Abkowicz

Liza Abkowicz , 93 years of age, of West Hartford, formerly of Russia, died Friday, January 22, 2021. She leaves her daughter Nelly Abkowicz of West Hartford. She was married for over 60 years to her beloved husband, the late Joseph Abkowicz. She also leaves her sister Meera and brother Joseph of Russia, and was predeceased by her sister Yeva; and all their children and grandchildren. All who knew her were blessed by the presence of a most beautiful and warm woman who gave unconditional love and support to her daughter, to her late husband, to her extended family, and to all her friends. She was a long-time member of United Synagogues of Greater Hartford. Private funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield with Rabbi Edward Cohen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Senior Day Center of Hebrew Senior Care. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
