Lois (Beatrice Kurland) Booth

Booth, Lois Beatrice (Kurland)Booth, 84, of Canton, formerly of Rocky Hill and Lake Worth, Fl, died May 7, 2006, peacefully comforted by the presence of her family at home. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Henry Benjamin and Charlotte (Tucker) Kurland. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Milton Booth. Retiring after for more than 20 years with the Travelers Insurance Co., she lived for many years in Lake Worth Florida, where she was an active volunteer in the Palm Beach County Victims Service Office. She returned to Connecticut in 1999, and enjoyed travel and her family until her health restricted her activities. She is survived by her sons Steven Booth and his wife Harriet of Pembrook, MA and Cy Booth and his wife Pamela of Canton, CT; her brother Les Kurland of Bloomfield, grandsons Michael Booth and his wife Michele and Heath Booth and two great grandsons and a great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her grandson Alan Booth. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Teferes Israel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Road, East Granby. Her grateful family wishes to extend their thanks to the very special women of the Farmington Valley VNA Hospice Program, for the care and comfort they gave to Lois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmington Valley VNA Hospice program, Simsbury, CT. Arrangements have been entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
