Loren M. Bisberg

LOREN M. BISBERG, 63, of Farmington, died March 19 after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Skidmore College and Quinnipiac University School of Law. He was predeceased by his mother, Joyce Apter Bisberg, his father, Arnold Bisberg, and an older brother, Steven Bisberg. He is survived by his sister, Betsy Palmer and her husband Donald Palmer of Olney, MD; a brother, Paul Bisberg and his partner, Lisa Doherty, of East Haddam; a nephew, Steven Palmer and his wife Katherine Swanson, and a niece, Abby Palmer, both of Washington, D.C. Loren was an avid sailor and vintage Porsche enthusiast but, above all, he was a dog lover and he leaves behind his beloved Max. The Bisberg family dogs were always present and foremost in his mind, including his own previous companions, Sydney and Baxter. He spent his early career in the corporate events and travel industry, including a long tenure working in the family business which he helped build into a highly-regarded travel company. He later went to law school and spent the rest of his career practicing law for several area firms. Funeral arrangements will be private, with a memorial service to be scheduled this Spring at the family cottage in Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loren’s memory to the dog rescue operation, X-Port Paws (www.xportpaws.org) Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loren’s memory to the dog rescue operation, X-Port Paws (www.xportpaws.org)
