Louise Nussman

Louise Rheta Nussman, wife of the late Joel H. Nussman, passed away March 11, 2020. Louise was the daughter of the late David and Frieda Pomerantz of Hartford. She was born September 2, 1933 in Hartford, CT.

In 1997, Louise moved to Delray Beach, FL until the year 2016 when she made her home in Atlanta, GA.

She worked at The University of Hartford for 23 years as the Director of Purchasing. She loved being involved in Jewish community activities and served as Hadassah President of Delray Beach for 6 years.

Louise leaves behind her four daughters Cheryl (John) D’Agata of Canton, GA; Gail (Daniel) Mansfield of Peachtree Corners, GA; Andrea (Kevin) Finnerty of Bronx, NY and Marci (David) Carson of Avon, OH. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Danielle (Matt) Duke of Woodstock, GA; Jonathan (Angela) D’Agata of Woodstock, GA; Michael (Jenny) of Athens, GA; Hannah (Jared) Kaye of Roswell, GA; McCall (Garth) Philippe of The Bahamas, Kaitlin Finnerty of Bronx, NY; Melissa (Rick) Ghrist of Cleveland, OH and Benjamin Barrett of Avon, OH. Great grandchildren Owen, Evan and Bradley Duke; Olivia D’Agata; Collins Mansfield, Caleb and Ari Kaye.

Louise was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by all of her loved ones. Her friends from CT, FL and GA will always have a special place in her heart. She lived her last 3 years at Sunrise Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody. She wanted to make sure she thanked the whole Sunrise family for their loving care she received while living there.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15th at 10:00am at the Jonathan Welfare Society, 401 Tower Avenue
