Louise (Novogrod) Tellan, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend passed away on January 2, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born in 1943 in Long Branch, NJ, she was 80 years old. Louise is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marsh J. Tellan ofSunrise, FL; daughters, Jennifer LeFrancois (Lee) ofBristol, CT; Anne Nedivi (Jacob) of Alfe Menashe, Israel; and Amy Diamond ofSouth Hadley, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Noam, Sapir, and Hadas Nedivi; and Samuel and Mason Diamond. Louise is also survived by her sister, Anita Heitler (Don); nieces, Rebecca, Beth, Mindy (Glenn), and Leslie and her grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She also leaves behind her very special best friend Jeanne. Louise had a strong affection for animals from an early age and leaves behind her beloved dog, Rosie. Louise was predeceased by her brother, Alan Novogrod and her parents, William and Irene Novogrod of NJ. Louise and Marsh lived in WestHartford, CTfor 34 years before moving toSunrise, FLin 2006 to enjoy the warmer weather. She was very artistic enjoying painting and other creative pursuits. Louise was very musically inclined playing the flute, piccolo, and piano. She was a junior master bridge player. Louise graduated from Glassboro State Teachers College in NJ. She taught various grades of elementary school in NJ, CT and MA. Later, Louise became a career employee of the U.S. Treasury Department retiring in 1999 with 20 years of service. She and her husband are long-time members of the B’Nai Tikvoh-Sholom Synagogue inBloomfield, CT.Louise was a member of the Hartford Obedience Training (dogs) Club and the Hartford Art League. As avid hockey fans, Louise and Marsh followed the Hartford Wolfpack and the Florida Panthers as Season ticket holders. Services will be held at the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford on Monday, January 8 at 1pm. Graveside services will follow at Beth El Cemetery inAvon, CT.In lieu of flowers consider contributing to an animal humane society of your choice in memory of Louise and her love for animals.

Shiva will be held following burial from 3:30-7pm at 26 Clifford Drive, West Hartford.
