Marilyne Sari Beatman, of West Hartford, CT, passed away on March 31, 2021. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Krauss) Beatman. She graduated from the University of Hartford receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master’s Degree in Education. In addition, she continued taking advanced courses while teaching in the Hartford Public School System to remain current in her profession. Marilyne began her working career as a secretary to Samuel Einstein, then Executive Administrator of G. Fox and Company in Hartford. She rapidly advanced to being a buyer on the sixth floor for a new department of teenage accessories. She often traveled to New York for three days to buy items she anticipated would sell. After eight years, Marilyne decided to enter the field of elementary education. She loved teaching young children and finished her career in the Hartford Public School System. She was an excellent teacher and truly loved each child she taught so well. Marilyne was a life member of the Hadassah, Hebrew Home and Hospital, Jewish Women’s International, ORT and The Hartford Federation of Teachers, Local 1018. She loved to exercise and spent many years in excellent physical shape. She loved her dogs and took excellent care of all of them. Her last dog, Coffee, was a rescue that brought immense joy to her life. She made sure Coffee would be well cared for now that she has passed on. Marilyne was predeceased by her brother Leslie and his wife, Lillian. She leaves her nephews Matthew (Debra) and their four children, and Anthony (Aksana) and their two children and her niece Bobbitt Walker (Britt) and their four children. Marilyne also leaves wonderful friends who were part of her life. They loved her dearly. Funeral arrangements will be private.
