Michael Denning Miller

Michael Denning Miller, 82, of West Hartford, CT, passed away on March 29th, 2025. Born on May 6th, 1942 in Hartford, CT, he was a devoted husband to his wife of forty years, Becky. A loving and protective brother to his two sisters, and father of three sons. Michael, a graduate of the University of Hartford School of Business, and a CPA along with his wife Becky, grew a small accounting firm into a provider of customized database programming and computer software training throughout central Connecticut. In retirement they traveled the country extensively together exploring their passion for travel, photography and wildlife. Michael’s other great passions were his service in the United States Marine Corps, his love of his country and martial arts. He served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and in the Bay of Pigs invasion. He never passed up an opportunity to talk to another veteran, regardless of their age or branch of service. When it came to the martial arts, he studied Karate, Kung-Fu, and Ju-Jitsu over the years obtaining black belts in multiple disciplines and was an instructor of Karate for a number of years. Michael is survived by his wife Becky Miller, his sisters: Leslie Ellen Richardson and Tami Battaglio; his three sons and two step-sons: Brian, Scott and Robert Miller and Matt and Jeff Brainerd; five grandsons: Kyle, Dylan, Nayan, Jake, Eston; four granddaughters: Sydnie, Gabby, Hannah and Lindsey. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave. Hartford, CT 06105 Burial with full military honors will follow in Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, 80 Wolcott Road, East Granby, CT. Immediately following the burial, the family will receive relatives and friends at Becky's home: 103 Penn Dr. West Hartford, CT 06119 until 7:00 pm.
