Mildred ((Lassoff)) Wellins

Mildred (Lassoff) Wellins, 91, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT, and Bloomfield, CT, died Saturday, August 10, 2019. She was the widow of Gerald A. Wellins. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Buchalter) Lassoff. Milly earned a degree in psychology from Connecticut College. For many years she worked side by side her husband in business, including Thrifty, Belvedere, and Concord pharmacies and the Packing Crate gift stores. She leaves her children, Richard S. Wellins and his wife Ellen of Pittsburgh, PA, Robert M. Wellins of Port Charlotte, FL, and Judith W. Sagor of Albany, NY. She also leaves her grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Daniel, Michael, Blake, and CJ Wellins, and Jeffrey and Julianna Sagor, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Beth Israel Cemetery, 51 Jackson Street Extension, Avon, CT.
