Neal Rubinfeld (85) of Simsbury, CT passed away peacefully on Monday December 2, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Ramat Gan, Israel, he was the son of Mayer and Ida Rubinfeld of Israel. Neal served in the tank corp of the IDF and then moved to the United States to pursue a degree in computer engineering from the City College of NY. Upon graduation he moved to CT to work at United Technologies. He later pursued a career in the field of Real Estate - home building and land development which turned out to be his passion and was part of his upbringing in Israel.

Neal is survived by the love of his life Sarah, who he met at the age of 17 and who moved to the United States with him to start a new life together. They were happily married for 65 wonderful years. He is also survived by his beloved children: Barry Rubinfeld (Karen), and Sharon Linder ( Peter); his cherished grandchildren: Jonathan (Morgan), Jordan (Eric), Jake and Josh; his brother David (Gail) of Florida, and extended family in Israel, along with many nieces and nephews. We all feel so blessed to have had him in our lives for so many years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5 at 11am at the Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford CT, 06117 followed by burial at Beth El Cemetery in Avon CT. A meal of consolation will follow burial at the Emanuel Synagogue. Shiva will be observed at the home of Karen and Barry Rubinfeld, 55 Oak Ridge Drive , Avon CT on Thursday evening, Friday before sunset, Saturday evening, and Sunday.
