Pearl (Haiken) Grad

GRAD, Pearl (Haiken) Grad, 88 years of age, of West Hartford, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center. She was married for 53 years to William Grad, until he died in 1996 . Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rosie (Goldstein) Haiken. She leaves her children, Dr. Howard S. Grad and his wife Linda of Manchester, and Suzanne G. Petraniuk and her husband John of Kensington; her grandson, Randy Jay Grad of New Fairfield; and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Rylee and Sebastian Grad. She also leaves her special friend, George Stiles. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of CT, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden 06450.
