Peter (B) Hollis

Peter B. Hollis, 74 years of age, of Farmington, CT passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Sarabeth Hollis for 53 years. Born in Newton, MA, he was the son of the late Morton and Ruth Hollis. He was a graduate of The University of Vermont, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business. Began his retail career with Bradley’s, followed by Zayre’s, and held CEO positions at both Fisher Big Wheel and Ame’s Department Stores. Peter retired in 1990, at which time he and his wife opened a retail store for 15 years. He enjoyed spending his time with his family as well as fishing, boating, traveling, playing pool and going to the beach. In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by daughter, Bonny Hollis of Simsbury, CT and fiancé James Lyman; his son, Marc Hollis of Farmington, CT; his brother, Jay Hollis and his wife, Lisa, of Wells, ME; his sister, Karen Cohen and her husband, Bruce, of Framingham, MA; his beloved grandchildren; Samantha Grobard, Brett Grobard and Joshua Hollis.

Funeral services will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Linwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 490 North Street, Randolph, MA. Immediately following the interment, the family will receive relatives and friends at 50 Ledgewood Drive, Framingham, MA 01701. Respects can be made March 20th and March 21st, 2018 at 1 Timothy Lane, Bloomfield, CT 06002. from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
