Philip (R.) Goldberg

GOLDBERG, Philip R. Goldberg, 98 years of age, of Glastonbury died Thursday, June 17, 2010. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of the late Rhoda (Marholin) Goldberg. Born in Hartford, June 30, 1911, he was the son of the late Julius and Tillie Goldberg. Philip graduated from Hartford High School and was a dairy farmer in Glastonbury for over 45 years. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford. He leaves two sons, Stanley M. Goldberg of Rocky Hill, and Gerald M. Goldberg of Glastonbury; his granddaughter, Allison Goldberg and her husband Adam Berman; and his great-grandchildren, Asa Goldberg-Berman and Ishaia Goldberg-Berman. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Silberman Chapel of Congregation Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Ave., West Hartford 06119.
