Priva Apter

Priva Apter, 97 years of age, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Hebrew Home and Hospital. Priva was born in Poland, daughter of the late Nathan and Bertha (Horn) Apter, she came to Hartford in 1938. She worked for 40 years at Regal Men’s Shop in Manchester. Priva was a life member of Congregation Beth Israel and a life member of Hadassah. Many thanks to the Hebrew Home and all the nurses who made her life more comfortable and to her special friends, Pamela and Ruth. Priva leaves her cousins Bernie Apter and his wife Sue of Manchester, Dr. Matthew Apter and his wife Melody of Altamonte Springs FL, and Amy Apter of West Hartford. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Congregation Ados Israel Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford.
