Rebecca (Roznar) Cohen

OBITUARY: Rebecca (Roznar) Cohen, 85, of Crestview Circle, West Hartford, wife of Benjamin Cohen, died Monday, January 8, 2007. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Tillie (Liebowitz) Roznar. She was a member of the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford and a member of its board, as well as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons: Jan Cohen and his wife Sheila of Naperville, IL, and Elliott E. Cohen and his wife Ava of Briarcliff Manor, NY; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother Joseph Roznar of West Hartford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 9:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Yitzchok Adler officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonathan Welfare Society Cemetery, Hartford. A memorial period will be observed through Friday at her home, 15 Crestview Circle, West Hartford.
