Richard Merker

Richard was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1931. In 1947, he came to the U.S. with his mother. He was drafted into the Marine Corps in 1951 and served for three years. A few months later he met Inge and they were married in 1954. They had four children together: Ronald, Robert, Lynn Piretti, and Lori Merker-Chapman. Richard was a very giving man; honest and loving. He will be greatly missed. He also leaves seven beloved grandchildren and two dear great-grandchildren. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, March 15, at the Bnai Tikvoh Sholom Cemetery, 49 Clubhouse Rd., Windsor, CT.
