Robert (S.) Darling

Robert S. Darling of Bloomfield passed away on February 9th 2018 at age 88. Son of the late Anna (Miller) and Samuel Darling. He was the 6th of 10 children. He leaves his wife Selma (Felper) Darling, son Jeffrey, daughters Ann Stein and husband Louis and Jill Rothstein and her husband Philip. Grandchildren Joshua Stein, Dayna Stein, Rebecca and David Rothstein, Rachel and husband David Pulda-Rifikin. Great grandchildren Elijah and Zoey Stein. Leaves sisters Eleanor Katz, Dolores Stein, Jean Selinger and husband Michael. Predeceased by brothers Harry, Muzzy, Sonny and Sisters Deanna Goldstein, Ida Cutler, and Lillian Dubinsky. Surviving brother in law Irwin Goldstein and sister in law Regina Felper and many close nieces and nephews. Bob was an electrician by trade, active member of the West Hartford REGENTS, Masonic Lodge, and avid card player. His greatest joy was his family. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Sunday February 11th 2018 in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave Hartford, CT. Interment to follow at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery 80 Wolcott Rd East Granby, CT. Luncheon to follow at Bob’s home. Memorial donations may be made to Beth David Synagogue or donor’s choice.
