Robert (A.) Dobkin

Robert A. Dobkin, 87, of Mountain Rd., West Hartford, husband of Isabel (Jacobs) Dobkin, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Max and Ida (Shifrin) Dobkin. He attended Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, and was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters: Penelope Dobkin of Brookline, MA and Bonnie Dobkin, M.D. and her husband Peter Sonntag of New York, NY, and a beloved grandson, Adam Sonntag. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, A memorial period will be observed at his home through Sunday.
