He also leaves his brother Neal (Jean) Hurwitz, of Wallingford, CT, Phylllis Edenberg of Worcester, MA, Blossom Glassman of Boston, MA, and his two nieces Vicki and Sharon and nephew, Scott of Florida. Throughout his life, Bob developed many interests and built on his career as a Pharmacist. He was President of the Young Democrats Club of Putnam, Connecticut. Later he proudly served in the Navy, serving on two different carriers where he was the ship’s Pharmacist and was also its Medical Corpsman. Bob is a graduate of Mass College of Pharmacy. After retiring from Pharmacy he worked for EDS in their ConnPace Program, where he was their oldest softball pitcher. He then became a Sr VP at The Prescott Group, and was a certified instructor in the Meyer’s Briggs Personality Inventory. Robert loved spending time and joking with his family. He developed a love of travel and with Roberta had many wonderful trips throughout Europe and visited with Linda and Hal in London and Paris. He also had a passion for baseball and stuck by his beloved Red Sox even in their bad years. He was always up for his famed poker club or for a good Cribbage game. He was known for his disarming quick wit and sense of humor. He was always willing to listen and also asked deep and probing questions. We would like to thank the staff at Caleb/Hitchcock for their wonderful care and extend deep appreciation to Cameel Nelson, his constant aide.
