Rosalyn (Spigel) Palmbaum

ROSALYN PALMBAUM, 86, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died on May 17, 2015. She is survived by her husband Harry of Bloomfield, daughters Bonnie Snyder of Massachusetts, Nancy Bernstein of Bloomfield and Linda Preuss of Long Island, and grandchildren, Megan (Scott), Julie (Ian), Ben (Adrienne), Becky and Ken (Ashley), and her great granddaughter Lily. She is also survived by her brother Jerry and his wife Roz of Massachusetts. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Old Saybrook for almost 25 years after raising her family in Pennsylvania and Albany. She made her mark during her life as a loving mother and grandmother, as well as during her many years as a pre-school teacher. Roz had many passions including all kinds of dancing, and was an active volunteer at the children’s library in Old Saybrook prior to her move to Bloomfield in 2014.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 18th at 11 AM at the Chapel of Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Avenue in West Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter Nancy from 6-8 PM at 5 Seminole Way, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hartford Hospital or to a charitable organization of your choice.
