Roslyn Dresner, 84, of Newington, CT, died on April 1, 2017. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Mix and Esther (Himmelstein) Swirsky. For nearly 60 years, she was the beloved wife of Alfred J. Dresner. She was the adored mother of Debra and Mara.
An honors graduate of the UCONN School of Nursing, she worked as a registered nurse in both MA and CT, concluding her career at The Hospital of Central CT, New Britain General. She was very active in Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, serving in many capacities, most notably as President of the CT Valley Branch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 3, in the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Alan Alpert officiating. Burial will follow in B’nai Sholom Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Following the burial, the family will receive relatives and friends at 30 Schoolhouse Drive, West Hartford. Shiva will be observed from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday at 30 Schoolhouse Drive.

The family wishes to thank Dr. William Pogue and Dr. Wylie Hosmer for their excellent medical care and CNA/caregiver Claudia Townes-Porter for her compassionate and loving care.
