Samuel (C.) Cushing

Samuel C. Cushing, 90, of Louis Dr., Bloomfield, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at home. Born in Russia, he was the son of the late Yisrael and Sarah (Kalmerman) Cushing. He owned Elkins Market in East Hampton before he retired. He was a member of United Synagogues of Greater Hartford in West Hartford. He leaves his wife, Rebecca (White) Cushing; and a son, Robert D. Cushing of New Haven. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home Care & Hospice, 95 Woodland St., Hartford 06105. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
