Sara (Mandell) Chain

CHAIN, Sara (Mandell) Chain, of West Hartford, widow of Sydney Chain, died peacefully on November 14, 2006. Born in Manchester, NH to the late Benjamin and Charlotte (Teicher) Mandell, Sara moved to Hartford in 1945. A member of United Synagogues of Greater Hartford, she was active in several local organizations. She leaves her brother, Bernard Mandell and his wife Dorothy of New London; a sister, Elaine Mintz of Boynton Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM at United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, Wethersfield. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
