Saul Bernstein

Saul Bernstein of Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford, husband of the late Helen (Kapper) Bernstein, died Monday, May 1, 2006. Born in Evanston, IL, he was the son of the late Hyman and Lillian (Pinzur) Bernstein. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. A retired Certified Public Accountant, he was also an accomplished concert pianist. He leaves a son, Norman Bernstein of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters: Gail Adler and her husband Jeffrey of Simsbury, and Karen Eadon and her husband Jack of Santa Ana, CA; two granddaughters: Cheryl and Marcia Adler; and a brother: Fred Bernstein of Ft. Myers, FL. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A Memorial period will be observed at the home of his daughter Gail Adler, 125 Old Canal Way, Weatogue, through Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hebrew Home and Hospital, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford 06117, or Beth Hillel Synagogue, 160 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield 06002.
