Sheila (Travis) Stein

Sheila J. Stein, age 94 of Riverview, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT, passed away on July 20th, 2023. She was a resident of FL for 38 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Edward E. Stein, her daughter Janis Hyde, her son-in-law Cliff Hyde and her grandson, Daniel Turenne. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Robin Stein Cardella (Vince). Also surviving is her sister, Bette Niezgorski (Robert/Buddy). Sheila’s partner, Leonard Kitchman, passed away in January, 2023. Robin describes her Mother as “the finest woman I’ve ever known”. General services will be held Thursday at 12:00 at the Beth El Temple Cemetery at the end of Jackson Street in Avon, CT. All donations in the name of Sheila Stein are to be made to The Leukemia Society and the Susan G. Komen United Breast Cancer Foundation.
