Sonia (Katz) Dantzig

DANTZIG, Sonia (Katz) Dantzig, 85 years of age, of Boston, MA, formerly of West Hartford, died Monday, May 11, 2009. She was the widow of Frank W. Dantzig. Born in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Gisela (Wasserman) Katz. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford. She leaves her children, Wendy Wortzman and her husband Jay of Randolph, MA, and Kenneth W. Dantzig and his wife Cynthia Spack Dantzig of Brookline, MA; her grandchildren, Ileza Lyn Dantzig and Keith Wortzman. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs and Cantor Pamela Siskin officiating. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Greater CT Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 659 Tower Ave., Hartford 06112.
