Sophie (Katz) Kinsbrunner

Sophie (Katz) Kinsbrunner, age 101, of Bloomfield passed away in her sleep on January 8, 2020. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Jacob and Lena (Blum) Katz, sister Rose Schultz of Philadelphia, and brother Meyer (Sol) Katz of Bloomfield. Sophie’s career spanned 35 years with the Veterans Administration in Hartford and Newington (1940’s - 1980’s) and three years with the USAF in French Morocco (1950’s). She enjoyed many opportunities to travel and to attend Elderhostels. She leaves behind nieces and nephews in Connecticut - Jeffrey Katz and his wife Michelle, Sharon Furman and her husband Stuart, and Robert Katz and his wife Laurie; and in Pennsylvania - Michael Schultz, and Susan Kuball and her husband Robert. She also leaves numerous grand, great, and great-great nieces and nephews, and a dear friend Bonnie Rowe of Bloomfield. A special thank you is extended to Sharon Furman for her dedicated attention to Sophie’s needs in her later years. The funeral will be at Beth Alom cemetery in New Britain on Sunday January 12 at 10:00 AM
