Susan (Lemkin) Pivnick

Susan Carol Pivnick, daughter of the late Ann and Morris Lemkin, passed away on March 21, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her daughter, Karen Pivnick of Norwich, her son Scott Pivnick (Stephanie) of Arlington, VA, and her sister Judith Lemkin of Hamden. She was predeceased by her daughter Randi Pivnick Lasky. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 adopted grandchildren. Susan was an avid UConn basketball fan and a Yankees baseball fan. She loved to knit and established a Hat Huggers knitting group in Manchester to knit hats for cancer patients in memory of her daughter Randi. Susan worked for many years in various bookkeeping positions and upon her retirement, she became a day care worker and loved caring for infants. She also loved her rescue dog Oscar who gave her much joy and comfort over the years. The family wishes to thank the staff at DeQuattro Cancer Center, at The Village at Buckland Court, and at Beacon Hospice for all of the care they showed to Susan during her illness. The funeral for Susan will be private for family only. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
