Sylvia (Seger) Bickerstaff

Sylvia L. (Seger) Bickerstaff, 90, died peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Stafford Springs. Born on March 25, 1919 in Colchester, Sylvia was the 7th and last surviving child of Samuel and Mary (Drexler) Seger. She was predeceased by her husband Don J Bickerstaff. Sylvia graduated from Bacon Academy Class of 1937 and graduated Baypath College. She worked for a number of years for the IRS in Hartford and San Francisco. She then worked for over 20 years at Mount Sinai Hospital. She leaves two daughters: Heidi Bickerstaff and Donna Bickerstaff-McGloin and her husband Joseph and grandson Samuel McGloin, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She also leaves a most faithful and loving companion of many years Harry Bailey, a Welsh Corgi who has never left her side. Burial will be private.
