Sylvia (Friedman) Gluskin

Sylvia (Friedman) Gluskin, 94, of Seabury Dr., Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, (May 27, 2007). She was the daughter of the late Bessie and Harry Friedman. She was born in Russia and came to the U. S. as a child. In 1978, she moved to West Hartford from Cranston, RI, where she and her late husband Arthur were in business. She leaves three nieces; Hope Hood and her husband John and daughter Emily of Lee?s Summit, MO; Roberta Bickford and her husband Chris of Providence, RI; and Michelle Robbins of Bangkok, Thailand. Sylvia also leaves her cousin, Lillian Jean Greenberg and her husband Stanley of Manchester and two very special friends, Sue Horrigan of Bloomfield and Frank Sutton also of Bloomfield. Her wonderful story telling will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral will be graveside at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Jonathan Welfare Society Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford.
