William (J.) Cohen

William Cohen, 83, of Plainville, passed away on September 8, 2013 after a short illness. He leaves behind his daughters Sharon Pelkey, Lorrie Acevedo and Tammy Aransky. His grandchildren: Kimberly and her husband James Vancerderfield, Jennifer and her husband Michael Fusso, Josh Binder, Alyson and Melissa Aransky and great grandchildren: Samantha and Zachary Vancerderfield, Madalyn and Francisco Fusso, and Ariella Aransky. His brother Robert Cohen and his wife Diane. William served in Korea as a radio man during the Korean conflict. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mimi, his brothers Richard and Gary Cohen and his parents Yetta and Benjamin Cohen. Funeral services will be at graveside at the Beth Alom Cemetery, 48 Allen Street in New Britain at 11 a.m. on September 11, 2013. A memorial period will be observed Wednesday following the interment at the home of this daughter, Lorrie Acevedo, 550 Darling St., Unit 4B in Southington, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Heart Association or to the charity of one’s choice .
