William (V.) Dworski

Attorney William Victor Dworski, born August 13th 1926, died December 26th 2018. He was the son of Daisy and Harry Dworski of New Britain, Connecticut. Attorney Dworski served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. A graduate of UConn Law School, he practiced law over 50 years in New Britain. In retirement, Attorney Dworski served as an Superior Court Attorney Trial Referee. He successfully argued several cases before the Connecticut Supreme Court and was a law instructor at Central Connecticut State University. Attorney Dworski also dedicated his life to public service. He was a member of the Civitan Club of Newington, the New Britain-Berlin Rotary Club, Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bar Association. A Town Attorney and member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Newington, he also served as a Police and Fire Commissioner in New Britain, Chairman of the Republican Town Committee, a member of Newington’s first Charter Revision Commission and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the town of Newington.One of the founders of Temple Sinai, Newington, he was also a board member of The Hospital for Special Care, The Hospital of Central Connecticut, and other organizations. An avid boater, he was an instructor and officer in the New Britain Power Squadron, sharing his passion for boating with his children. He was a member of the New Britain and Hartford Chess Clubs,He is survived by his wife Norma, children: Karen Dworski, her husband Paul Riggs, Sherrie Spencer, David Dworski and wife Helene and grandchildren: Deanne Dworski-Riggs, Ben Dworski-Riggs, Charlotte Dworski and Ethan Dworski. He was predeceased by Doris Eisemann Dworski in 1983.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 30th at 10 a.m. at Temple Sinai, 41 W. Hartford Road, Newington. Burial will be at Beth Alom Cemetery in New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to The Hospital for Special Care, New Britain.
