Yury Zager

Yury Zager (Zagermakher), 91 years of age, of West Hartford, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Born in the Ukraine, he was the son of the late Lev Zagermakher and Mariya Rotberg. He was the person of sharp mind and strong will. He immigrated with his family to the United States in 1989. He was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford.

He leaves behind two sons, Leon Zager of Farmington and Mark Zager and wife Inna Laskova with grandson Daniil of Hamden; sister Valya Yezril of Philadelphia PA, niece Olga Turkel and husbent Vadim Turkel with daughter Gelena of Richboro, PA; nephew Serg Yezril of Mount Laurel, NJ.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT.
