ANDERSON, Paul Lott Anderson, 86, long time resident of Hartford, CT and loving husband of Marcia Bok Anderson, passed away on November 9, 2009. Born in Detroit, MI on April 21 1923, he was the son of Josephine Cavanaugh Anderson and Alexander Anderson. He graduated from Drexel University as an electrical engineer. He served in the Army in World War II, honorably discharged as a Lieutenant. After growing up in the Bronx, NY and Teaneck, NJ, he moved the family to Vernon, CT in the 1950?s making many wonderful lifelong friends. He resided there many years while working for the Rogers Corporation in Rogers, CT retiring as Vice President of Sales. He was an early developer of printed circuits and other early technologies for computers. He was one of the founding members of the Ellington Ridge Country Club in Ellington, CT. He enjoyed traveling, was an avid golfer, loved to ski and taught all his children, grandchildren and many of their friends the love of these sports. He was the most positive person in life. He loved nature, Vermont, sunsets, sunrises, the beach, sun bathing, bird watching, going to Tanglewood, the Berkshires, family vacations, trips and get-togethers. He amazed everyone with his generosity, humility, caring, and enthusiasm.
In addition to his wife Marcia, Paul is survived by his son Peter Anderson and daughter- in- law Betty of Tolland, daughters Penny Anderson Leto of Hartford, Jane Marcus Delgado and her husband Carlos of New Jersey, Ruthanne Marcus Garbalosa and her husband John of Cheshire, grandchildren Lonnie Leto & his wife Taber, Todd Anderson and his wife Lori, Mark Anderson, Cristina and Alejandro Garbalosa , Elizabeth Delgado and great grandchildren Maizy Jace Leto and Jason Todd Anderson, as well as many other friends and family.
He enjoyed many days at the City of Hartford Senior Day Camp and the Hebrew Home Adult Day Center. The family is very grateful for all the care, compassion and kindness of all the staff, his faithful home companion Marva and for the Hebrew Home Health Agency Hospice.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer?s Association, CT Humane Society of CT or to a charity of your choice.
