I was sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Growing up on Whetten Road with Eddie, Arthur and Bob, I always admired how well the brothers enjoyed life together. While all of us will miss Eddie, his memory and those of his brothers will always be with us. Gerry and Carol

Dear Fishman Family,
I am saddened by the news of Ed's passing. My friendship with Ed started many years ago when my locker at the JCC health spa was right next to Ed's locker. We were part of the early morning exercise routine. I looked forward to our morning conversations covering everything from his humor, family, vacations, business advice and even a little politics. He really was the "Mayor of the JCC" knowing everyone and loved to socialize with both new and long time members. I will miss him.
Fondly,

Dear Fishman family,
I had the pleasure of being part of Ed‘s JCC exercise contingent. For many years Ed would hold court on his bike, as a stream of lawyers, accountants, business people, friends and even mother’s helpers would greet him with a bit of conversation; his response was always a laugh, a joke and a kind word.
Informally called “the mayor, he relished every minute of it, but his greatest joy was his family, his Judaism and his community. He was a colorful character, and he embodied the best; he will be missed by all of us.

Beth and I are saddened at Eddie's passing. He was a good man with a good heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and was dedicated to Eve, his kids, in fact his entire family, his friends, and the greater community. He leaves a true legacy. May his memory be for a blessing.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Fishman family. I will treasure my memories with Ed, especially meeting each Spring at the Hartford Farmers Market at 4am to purchase plants for the island garden of the JCC Swim and Tennis Club. His generosity was notable. He was one in a million! May his memory always be for a blessing. ❤

I have known Ed Fishman for over 50 years, both professionally and personally. Ed was one of the most ethical people I have ever met. His demeanor was always warm and friendly. He was never too busy for a conversation. Integrity defined him, and he will be missed by his community, as well as his family. Sandy and I send our condolences to Eve, Michael and the entire Fishman Family. May Ed’s life comfort you as you mourn and beyond.

Sadly, I offer condolences to Eve and the entire Fishman family. Ed was such a warm and genuine friend, and a caring and constant supporter of our Jewish Community and institutions. He has left a big void, and a lasting impression of a very special mensch.

Ed and Stu were friends from boyhood- Many nights they would sit in our living room- laughing and remembering earlier days. Ed was a good friend to our family when Stu died, and we will remember him fondly.

I have known Ed a good part of my life.. We graduated high school together and worked on several class reunions together.. Since the pandemic i have not seen him but before always ran into him and had many conversations about everything and anything. What always impressed me was his fervent love of his family. I was saddened to learn of his passing and the Jewish community of which he was an integral part will sorely miss him. May i extend my deepest sympathy to all members of his family. You all are left with many memories which can be shared. May they carry you through this very difficult period. Fondly Willie Berson

Always with a smile, laughter that made us follow suit, a love of family bar none, and an appreciation of life that was an example for all of us to emulate. He will be sorely missed.
