Albert Lebowitz, 86, of Shipston Drive, West Hartford, died Tuesday, May 17th. He leaves his beloved wife of 60 years, Mildred (Larman) Lebowitz; a devoted daughter, Marilyn Rothberg and her husband Brian of Wayne, PA; two loving grandchildren: Joanna Glushakow and her husband Adam, and Jonathan Rothberg; two brothers: Jacob M. Lebovitz and his wife Natalie of West Hartford, and Gilbert Lebovitz and his wife Linda of Rocky Hill; a sister-in-law Shirley Lebowitz of West Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Lebowitz and Robert Lebovitz. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Rebecca (Forst) Lebovitz. He was co-owner of Hartford Electric Machine Company before he retired. Mr. Lebowitz was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford and also a member of the West Hartford Regents and Level Lodge No. 137 A.F. & A.M. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Wednesday, May 18, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi David Small officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at his home, 20 Shipston Drive, West Hartford, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
