Andrew Edward Baron of 178 Keeler Drive, Ridgefield, CT passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2006. Andy leaves his beloved wife of 25 years Donna K. Baron. He is also survived by his jewels, his four children: Ashley Elizabeth of West Hartford; Jessica Katherine, Samuel Lewis and Rachel Marie Baron all at home. Andy also leaves his beloved parents Gloria and Morris Weiss of Boca Del Ray, Florida (formally of West Hartford). He is also survived by his three sisters Barbara Ann (Babs) Miller of Stoughton, MA, Amy Baron of Newington, and Jane Brodsky of South Windsor, two nieces, and many loving cousins and friends. Andrew Baron was predeceased by his late father, Samuel M. Baron, formally of Avondale Road, West Hartford, and was always the apple of his parent’s eyes. He also leaves one aunt, Robbie Bogan of West Hartford. Andy attended public schools in West Hartford, and graduated high school from Laurel Crest Academy. He received his BS degree from Long Island University in Old Brookville, NY and earned his Masters Degree from the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport. Andy spent most of his career in the commercial lighting business, and had worked for the last 20 years for Lightolier based in Fall River, MA. His wife and his children were his main interest, always trying his best to attend every activity, event and milestone of each. They were his absolute joy, and he took great pride in their many achievements. Andrew and his family were proud members of Temple Beth Elchim in Brewster, NY where all of his children were very active and Bar and Bat Mitzvah. The funeral for Andrew Baron will take place on Friday, January 6th, at 12 (Noon) P.M. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating. Interment will immediately follow the funeral services in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Ward and Zion Streets, Hartford, where he will be interred next to his late father, Samuel M. Baron. The period of morning will be observed at Andrew’s late residence, 178 Keeler Dr., Ridgefield, CT, Saturday from 5 to 8 pm and Sunday 3 to 8 pm only. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The National Parkinson Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice in Andrew’s dear memory.
