Anne (Lassoff) Goldfarb, a long-time West Hartford resident, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2013. She was born November 11, 1916 in Hartford to Millie and Benjamin Lassoff. She was the widow of Robert Goldfarb of West Hartford. They were married for 34 years. Anne was a talented and accomplished clarinet player while attending Hartford High School. She worked briefly at her late husband’s restaurant, Jensen’s, formerly on Pratt Street in Hartford. She was an active member of Beth El Synagogue and Hadassah. She enjoyed playing tennis, knitting, playing bridge and Mahjongg. And she liked to cook, read and go to the movies. She worked out at the gym into her nineties. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and close friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Debra (Herman) Isenstein, of Milford, Barry (Judy) Goldfarb, of Higganum, David Goldfarb of Vernon; 11 loving grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her brother Lawrence Lassoff, Boca Raton and Chicago. She was preceded in death by her sister, Fannie Lassoff; her two brothers, Fred and Nate Lassoff; and a granddaughter, Mandy Cooper. The family wishes to thank everyone at Masonicare in East Hartford for their kindness and wonderful care, especially Mary Hebb as well as Debra Martin and Charlene Young for their loving care, kindness and comfort. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26 at 2 pm at Beth El Cemetery in Avon. The family will receive mourners at Anne’s home, 893 Farmington Avenue, Apt. 2F immediately following burial until 8 pm.
