Bernard Rademan, 98, father of Nancy (Rademan) Stilwell passed away on July 31, 2014 after a long illness. He was born in Philadelphia on July 10, 1916. He was raised in the Hebrew Orphans Home there and graduated from Temple University. He served five years in the Navy during WWII, rising to the rank of Lieutenant, and married Charlotte Bernstein in 1943. He and his brothers were partners in Herbach and Rademan, an electronics company in Philadelphia. Following his retirement in 1980, he moved to Florida and then to Hartford in 1994. He was predeceased by his wife, his four siblings, and his beloved son-in-law, Ron Stilwell. He is survived by his daughter, his grandchildren, Carolyn (Thomas) Wolverton of Woodland, WA, Kathryn Stilwell of Portland, OR, and his great-grandchildren, Maia and Zev Wolverton. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Hebrew Home for their wonderfully compassionate and competent care. A memorial service will be held at the home of Nancy Stilwell, 1332N Asylum Ave in Hartford on Sunday, August 10th at 5 PM.
