GOLDBERG, Charles Goldberg, 86 years of age, of West Hartford died Friday, March 27, 2009. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late David and Yetta (Feinberg) Goldberg. Charles was a US Air Force veteran of World War II. He worked in the printing industry before he retired. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Jeanette (Miller) Goldberg; his daughter, Lynn S. Kaplan of Newington; his son, David Goldberg and his wife Rebecca of Freehold, NJ; and his four grandchildren, Lee Gottheimer and his wife Aniela Hoffman, Brett Gottheimer, and Robin Goldberg. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Allen Kaplan, his brother, Harry Goldberg, and his nephew, Alan Goldberg. The family wishes to express its appreciation to the Hebrew Home & Hospital and to CT-VNA Hospice for the compassionate care extended to Charles and his family.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Debra Cantor and Rabbi Gary Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Congregation B?nai Sholom Cemetery, Wethersfield. Shiva will be observed at the home of his daughter, 181 Hunters Lane, Newington 06111.
