Dr. Charles Barry Schepart, 54, who worked 18 years for the Los Angeles Unified School District, died suddenly October 18, 2005, of natural causes. Mr. Schepart was born March 14, 1951, in Hartford, the son of Howard and Goldie (Greenberg) Schepart. He graduated from Windsor Locks High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Political Science from Clark University, Worcester, MA. He later received a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Mr. Schepart worked as a Municipal Management Assistant for the Town of West Hartford, for the years 1975 to 1980. He then returned to California to obtain a Doctor of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1984. He is survived by his father, Howard Schepart and his wife Florence Cohen Schepart of Windsor. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Newman and her husband William of West Hartford, and 2 nephews, David Newman of Manchester, and Michael Newman of Bloomfield. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 24, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave, Hartford, with interment in the Colchester Jewish Aid Cemetery, Colchester.
