Cipah Irene (Neiditz) Shapiro, 92, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 1, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. The loving wife of (Dr.) Abraham Shapiro, Cipah worked as lead secretary for his optometric practice for nearly five decades. She was a passionate and avid gardener in her 4800 s.f. garden which annually produced more than 60 vegetables – the mainstay of their meals. She was the owner of “Blue Twine Farm – Tofu Dips and Spreads” selling often to Cheese and Stuff and many other organic and fresh vegetable stores. She was a regular contributor to local newspapers and newsletters offering and seeking advice regarding organic gardening. Cipah is survived by her daughter, Cyma, and her husband, Rich, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
