Joanne and family - I just heard the news and and can’t quite believe it. I have known Dan since the ‘60’s when he was my Dad’s attorney and friend. Dan has handled my legal work for 50 years and just updated our Wills a few months ago. He was my close advisor, brilliant mentor, and trusted friend who shall be missed. I believe Dan is with Meredith again watching over all of us. Please accept our deepest condolences from the entire Goff family.

So very sorry to hear of this. I will treasure our Cape Cod memories. Danny did this schtick about Petunia and I would ask him to do it for me over and over and he would always good naturedly oblige. A wonderful man!

Joanne, I was shocked and saddened to read about Dan's passing in this morning's Hartford Courant. It's been years since our paths have crossed when you and I worked together at the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce and Dan was a young attorney and active Jaycee member, but I have fond memories of those times. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Dear Joanne,
Carol & I were saddened to hear about Danny's passing.
We have such fond memories of our long friendship...from our Jaycee days to Danny being our best and only lawyer...one wonderful remembrance we have is of Danny lending the use of his "limo" to carry Carol to the church on our wedding day in 1978!
It impressed our guests...he was very generous as always.
You and the family will be kept in our thoughts and prayers.
Fondly,

Dear Joanne and family, I was so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. We got to know each other when we served on the West Hartford Town Council in the 1970s. Although we belonged to different parties, we shared a love for the town of West Hartford and its residents. Dan was indeed known for his wit and his memorable stories. Recently we met and laughed about a long-ago zoning matter that we opposed together and lost - - and he still thought we were right. My wife Diana and I send you our deepest sympathy.

Although a Florida "snowbird", I fly home to Connecticut daily via The Hartford COURANT and have been sadly shocked two-weeks in a row by learning of obits for Jerry -- and NOW -- Dan Blume -- two of the most talented guys I've ever been privileged to know.
Jerry, who died in Los Angeles just last week, was a top-notch on-air broadcast personality, as was his older brother Dan. However, Dan was best-known as a top-notch attorney. Both were all-around great guys; smart,humorous,highly-principled,GOOD people. Their late father,Joe, was also in Broadcasting, as a violinist with one of the old, old WTIC orchestras. What a family! Everyone who knew them is lessened by their departure, but blessed by the continuing memories we'll always have from their being part of our lives. I'm very, very saddened by today's news -- and very, very proud to have called all of them "friends".

Heartfelt condolences to Dan's family on his passing.
Got to know Dan many moons ago during his Blume & Elbaum days - first while managing 50 Columbus Blvd building (among others) - then as co-tenants at Corporate Center West.
Dan couldn't have been a nicer guy - always warm and friendly.
Only wish I knew he, too, was a big Mets fan!
May Dan rest in peace - now back alongside daughter, Meredith and brother, Gerald - throughout the sands of time...
Sincerely,
Doug Cobb

Joanne, Jared and Family,
Our families have such a history of fun times and good memories. I am so sad to hear of Danny’s passing. Danny was such a colorful, kind and generous man. I will always have fond memories of him as our across the street neighbor and friend. He was so smart and I loved having conversations with him back when I was your babysitter until the last conversation at my dad’s service. He always gave good advice. Although we can’t honor Danny in person right now, please know that all the Mastrandrea’s are thinking of you with love and heartfelt sympathy. Take care. Karen

Dan was our attorney for more than 35 years, but he was more than that. He was our friend. We loved his ever inspiring positivity and level headedness whenever we sought counsel from him. Dan was a guy who could relate to our interests and loves. Always a solid sounding board on the many issues we discussed, but it was his gentle demeanor we loved so much. Rest comfortably my friend! We will remember you with a smile forever! God bless your family. Chuck and Mary
