Daniel I. Konover passed away peacefully on September 6, 2021 in West Hartford, CT at the age of 81. A long-time resident of Wilton, CT and recently of Avon and West Hartford, Dan is survived by the pride and joys of his life, his children: David Konover of West Hartford, Sean Konover of Avon and Elizabeth (Nick) Albano of Madison, WI and his two grandchildren, Brayden and Madison Albano. He is predeceased by his parents, Anna and David Konover and his sisters, Harriet and Paula Konover. He left behind many people who loved him, including his sister, Bailey Barall of Cape Canaveral, FL and former wife, Suzanne Konover of Wilton, CT. Dan was a native of Hartford and a graduate of the New York Military Academy, University of Hartford, and Cornell Law School. Specializing in tax law and corporate finance, Dan began his career with the IRS in Washington, DC. He returned to Hartford to join the law firm of Ribicoff and Kotkin followed by Schatz and Schatz Law Firm. Later, Dan moved to Stamford, CT to establish with Robert Fain the law practice of Fain and Konover. In 1997, he elected to open his own law practice. A memorial service to celebrate Dan’s life will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11am at the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Simon Foundation, Inc 120 Rescue Ln. Bloomfield, CT 06002 in honor of Misty, Dan’s favorite four-legged companion who meant the world to him.
