David Harris Seltzer, of West Hartford, passed away at home on Monday, May 4, 2009. He was born on July 29, 1950 and graduated from local schools, Becker Jr. College and The College of Liberal Arts, North Adams, MA with a Bachelor?s Degree in History. He was employed at Bridgestone/Firestone for thirty-six years; retiring as its Regional Stores Coordinator on January 1, 2007. Besides his wife, Kathy, of 35 years, he leaves his parents, Shirley and Henry Seltzer, of West Hartford, his sister and husband, Diane and Dr. Steven Levy, of Kansas City, MO, his niece Hillary and her husband Joshua Beler and their son Jacob, and many aunts, uncles and cousins locally and in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, West Hartford. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Congregation Beth Israel Cemetery, 27 Jackson Street, Avon, with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Avenue, P.O. Box 1004, Meriden 06450.
