Edward D. Taback, 75, of South Windsor, passed away on Thursday (September 20, 2012) surrounded by his devoted and loving family. A native of The Bronx, NY, Ed met his beloved wife Dorinne on a blind date. They moved to Connecticut when he accepted a position with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft where he served until his retirement. Ed held a Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering from City College of New York, a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Western New England College. Ed enjoyed reading, photography and painting; he was also a lover of mountains, coastlines and the great Southwest. A baseball fan, he rooted for the Brooklyn Dodgers and later the New York Yankees. He is survived by daughters Cara Taback and Emily Morgan and his sister Arlene Lesny. Ed was predeceased by Dorinne and his brother Harry.
Services will be held on Sunday at 10 a.m. at Beth Sholom Memorial Park in Manchester, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA.org).
