Elaine Berman Cunningham suddenly joined her soulmate Scott Earnest Cunningham in heaven on March 16, 2024 at the age of 83 in Bradenton Florida, where the two loved to spend their winters as snowbirds. She was the first of three very close siblings born to William and Lillian Berman on November 29th, 1940 at Hartford Hospital. Elaine was a graduate of Hall High School class of 1959 and attended Mount Ida college in Massachusetts. Her love and passion for all things beautiful, antique, and vintage was evident through her ability to create successful businesses, ELSCO Trading Company and co-owned Antiques on the Farmington. She had many achievements in her life, family and her grandchildren were the ones she was most proud of. From yearly holiday traditions to family vacations at the beach house in Westbrook and Cape Cod, Elaine loved living life with her family nearby. She had a love for the beach, flamingos, and her adopted companion “little Lola”. Elaine was a world traveler and enjoyed learning about different cultures with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law, Eddie Sheehan. She was an Elvis loving, doo-wop singing, color coordinating diva – which lives on through her granddaughter Sophie. Elaine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Leesa and Tom Huff who lovingly cared for her until her last days, her daughter Stefanie and son-in-law Eric Hein, stepson Ian and Felicia Cunningham, stepdaughter Rachel and Kirk Brightly, and stepson Geoffrey and Ellen Rose Cunningham, her grandchildren, Chad and Sophie Huff, Mackenzie and Brooke Hein, Nekearel, Amelia, Vena, Janel, and Dean Brightly, Silas and Isaac Cunningham, and great grandson, Kaeleb Clarke, sister Helene Sheehan, and her brother and sister-in-law Alan and Jeanne Berman, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside funeral service will take place at 11am on Thursday March 21st, 2024. It will be located at Cutler Family Cemetery, 155 Hurlbut Street, West Hartford, CT 06110. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to any local animal shelter.
