Obituary

Eunice “Eunie” (Kemler) Greenstein of Farmington, formerly of West Hartford, passed away on February 16, 2007. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Rose (Mintz) Kemler. She attended Weaver High School, and graduated Simmons College. Eunice taught in the Hartford schools and did social work for the State of Connecticut. She was a member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford. Eunice was married for nearly 45 years to Dr. Saul Greenstein. They raised two children very well. She was an effervescent woman who played tennis, golf, and was interested in the outdoors and in education. She leaves granddaughter Kaila Rose Forstein age 4, daughter Lauren Forstein, son Mark Greenstein, and husband Saul. She also leaves behind very good Friends in West Hartford and Bloomfield and a caring staff at Haven Health Care who all loved her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Ilana Garber officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson?s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018. My prayers to the family. Eunice was an incredible woman that I had the honor of working for as an au pair. She loved bakery goods, had a sparkling wit and was one of the kindest individuals I have ever known. It was a privilege to be a small part of her life. Love to the family.
