Obituary

Freda Freda Kamberg, 87, of West Hartford, died Saturday (September 3, 2005). Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Meyer and Esther (Selwitz) Shapiro. Before retiring, she was employed for many years at Florence Travis women’s clothiers. She leaves her brother Julius Shapiro and his wife Frances of Florida; her sister Ruth Schechter of California; her sisters-in-law Dorothy Rudin of West Hartford and Betty Kamberg of Vermont and many devoted nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving and adoring husband of 70 years, Leo Kamberg, and her beloved son Jack E. Kamberg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, at the Wolkowysker Society Cemetery, Tower Avenue, Hartford, with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
